The BCC which run under the slogan “FumbAlive- ‘cooking just got better ’ – meaning cook and live was launched in Kampala on 8th April 2016 and later sub-launched in 4 regions and 34 districts countrywide. by means of; wall branding, radio and print media and Market activations.
The campaign involved manufacturers and distributors selling good improved cook stoves and fuels like briquettes and LPG approved by MEMD under the ‘good stove better cooking’ brand label.
As a result of this campaign, over 6,000 stoves have been sold and more than 10,000 people have been reached with campaign messages, with opportunities in districts like Hoima and Kasese that had never had the opportunity for a massive sale of improved cook stoves
